In Q2 2024, the Music & Podcasts category on iOS demonstrated interesting trends for the leading apps in the United States. Data from Sensor Tower highlights how these applications have performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

YouTube Music showed a consistent increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $28K in mid-June. Downloads remained stable around the 4K mark, while active users saw a notable rise, reaching approximately 274K by the end of June.

TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound, the high-fidelity streaming service, witnessed modest weekly revenue growth, ending the quarter at nearly $2K. Downloads fluctuated slightly, mostly under 200 per week, and active users dipped to around 4K in the last week of June.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast experienced a rollercoaster in its weekly revenue, with a dip to $701 in late April, but downloads stayed relatively consistent, hovering around the 120 mark. The app maintained a steady base of active users, closing the quarter with just under 2K weekly active users.

TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports saw its revenue fluctuate, with a notable drop to $659 in late April, but it managed to recover to around $886 by the end of June. Downloads ranged between 138 and 169 per week, and active users remained fairly consistent, around the 1.1K to 1.2K range throughout the quarter.

SoundCloud: Discover New Music experienced varied weekly revenue with a dip to $229 in both late April and late May. However, downloads saw an impressive spike to 1.7K in late April. Weekly active users showcased a high at over 306K in mid-May, ending the quarter with a slight decrease to around 285K.
